We’re excited to announce that our committee has selected a recipient for the 2023-2018 CWD Scholarship Award for the amount of $1,000. We received many highly qualified applicants, but our committee was only able to select one applicant. The CWD Scholarship Award winner stood out due to her passion for protecting the well-being of children, community service, and profound interest in helping children. Shelby Forosan will receive $1,000 to put toward her education.
In addition to financial need, Shelby was selected because she has shown academic excellence in psychology at an accredited university in the US. We were impressed by Shelby’s extracurricular community experience and her commitment to working on improving the lives of children with mental or academic issues.

The scholarship is open to undergraduate students in good academic standing, with extracurricular community experience or demonstrated an interest to better the lives of children and working in child welfare.
One of our goals is to help build a world where every child can grow up healthy, protected from harm or trauma and educated so they can reach their full potential. The CWD Scholarship is a way we can advance our mission, while also helping the next generation of child welfare professionals achieve their academic goals.
