Construction
The Wave Hybrid features a layer of individually-wrapped springs that provide solid support, giving the bed some durability. They also move individually, so you’re less likely to disturb your partner if you shift during the night. The coils are supported by a firm foam base and perimeter, strengthening the edge support so you can get in and out of the bed more easily and sleep near the edge without feeling like you’re falling out.
The next layer up in the mattress is a layer of gel pods. These targeted pods work to support your entire body and keep your spine aligned. Memory foam sits on top, adding some good contouring and pressure relief. A layer of latex comes next and provides a little bounce, relieves pressure, and helps you shift around on the mattress without getting “stuck” in the foam. Latex is also a naturally cooling material.
The top layer in the Wave Hybrid is a breathable foam, utilizing a perforated design to give maximum airflow. This polyfoam has less give than memory foam, which means it should feel plush without allowing as much sinking (and therefore heat retention). Is it made from quality materials?

Will it off-gas when it’s delivered?
All mattresses off-gas to some degree (or, emit an unpleasant smell when they’re taken out of the packaging). But the Wave Hybrid shouldn’t off-gas for long.
